Vitimax — Autonomous Drone & AR Vineyard Monitoring

Oct 2025 — Present · CoNSeRT Lab · Lead Developer

A high-precision ecosystem that automates vineyard monitoring by bridging cloud-based command with autonomous robotics — from a drone in the field to an immersive 3D digital twin on a Meta Quest 3 headset.

DJI MSDK v5 Android Studio Meta Quest 3 Mixed Reality SQL

Overview

Vitimax connects three worlds that don't normally talk to each other: a cloud command centre, an autonomous drone, and an immersive mixed-reality interface. A central server pushes DJI MSDK v5 "Wayline" flight paths and launch commands out to drones in the field, which then fly their missions autonomously to capture imagery and telemetry across the vineyard.

Once a mission completes, the captured data syncs automatically into a SQL database. A Meta Quest 3 mixed-reality application then renders a 3D digital twin of the vineyard, overlaying metrics such as plant health and soil moisture directly onto the landscape — turning raw flight data into immersive, spatial, data-driven decisions.
